From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am opposed to the FCC putting any regulations, fees, or taxes in place on any Internet related service. This is clearly another attempt to control free speech as defined and guaranteed in the First Amendment. A poll tax can be defined as a fee levied to restrict a certain group of people from a certain activity. Any new fees or taxes imposed by the FCC on Internet consumers would be no different than the "poll tax," which was long ago declared unconstitutional and further prohibited by passage of the 24th Amendment. We will fight this regulation every step of the way!
