From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
As a US citizen, I am adamantly opposed to any type of "tax" to either fund or bailout the journalism industry in any form (newspaper, television, radio, internet, etc.). A journalist that is bought and paid for by the federal government is not a true journalist or newsperson, but a propagandist. In this nation, where the many diverse and opposing points of view are guaranteed by our Constitution the freedom to be voiced and heard, ALL citizens should have the right to have unbiased access to REAL NEWS and not contrived statements masquerading as "news" from a controlling party. Taxing the citizens of this nation to PAY FOR AND TRAIN government-funded journalists is unconscionable!
