From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The idea of taxing someone's free speech is beyond comprehension...Where, and with whom, would you end this discrimination? The FTC would spend better use of its time, monitoring the "journalists," with their own blatent agendas, who distort, hide facts which do not fit their agenda, or plegarzie. These "journalists" do not deserve to be taken seriously, and journalism won't survive if it continues to editorialize, rather than report. That is why people are turning to the Internet for their news. They want to read the facts and make their own conclusions and judgements, not be spoon-fed some regurgitated, journalistic fare, which may or not be accurate or complete, but tailored to the publisher/journalist's views and agendas.
