From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The FCC has no business getting involved in the content of the Press. Their attempt to use federal taxes to fund and train journalists merely starts the process of making journalists of all kinds dependent on government subsidies, and therefore GOVERNMENT servants instead of the servants of the people. No other result is possible. I STRONGLY URGE THE FCC TO WITHDRAW ITS PROPOSAL FOR THE "REINVENTION OF JOURNALISM", AS IT IS OPPOSED TO EVERY BASIC TENET OF FREE SPEECH AND A FREE PRESS.
