From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Let them fail. We are a nation of lawas and there are already established tools and mechanisms in the market to enable journalists and news organizations to re-work their debts (or sell off the remaining assets. The government has no right to involve itself in these matters and establish what could be perceived as creating or establishing a conflict of interest in what is reported and how it is reported. Media bias on both sides already exists due to government involvement and is re-inforced when the government doesn't listen to the people. Don't advance what seems to be a clear "Press Corps" for the Federal govenment and waste more of my tax money.
