From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Dear Sirs and Madam: I am sympathetic to the ever changing scope of journalism. However, as a business person, I understand one has to make sound decisions and live within ones means. Sometimes this means one door will close and another one open. Our country was founded and has been great because of free enterprise. Many companies are doing more online. Why will this not work for journalism? Could the advertisers not help pay for the change from print to computer? American citizens should not be forced to repay debt that journalist organizations acquired because of a lack of management and planning. The citizens of this country are overtaxed as it is. Please take a hands off approach. Free Enterprise (not government intervention) works best! Thank you
