From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose any bail-out of the news media and oppose the imposition of nay rules that limit free speech. To bail out the news media, whether newspapers or television news is to foster and support undue influence of government on that form of media. As it now stands the news media both print and electronic is too pro government and no longer serves to function as a watchdog on abuses of the government. This puts us in the position of having the only media available to us filtered by the government. I do not trust you or the government so to allow this influence is dangerous and prone to abuse. Free speech and free press are one of the founder's basis principles and is guaranteed by the Constitution......not that you care. A resounding NO to Journalism bailout!
