From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The news paper format for journalism began to decline as the primary source of news for the American people, and possibly much of the rest of the world with the advent of radio, and even more so with television. The profession of journalism did so as well, and has taken a complete nose dive in the past decade or so, to the point where much of what passes for journalism is nothing but propaganda for socialist views on events, and the few remaining outlets for honest news are now being threatened with government take-over and gagging, to stop people knowing the truth; just as Goebbels did in Germany, as Stalin did in the USSR, as Mao did in China, and so on. Journalists abdicated their purpose long since and I see no good reason to support them now, much less bail them out of the debts they incurred while spreading their propaganda as news. Freedom of speech and therefore information, is a guarantee given me under the Constitution of the United States, and which I cherish; a Constitution I took an oath to uphold and defend against all enemies, foreign or domestic. When I took that oath I never expect to see the day when the very government of this nation would BE that "enemy, domestic" but that day is here, and NO ONE is listening to those of us who still love America and want our nation back! I hope you'll heed and leave our Freedom of Speech alone. I realize you're working for the same corrupted government, and bound to and believe the same lies they're peddling, but look beyond those and try to remember what this nation used to be like; we could have that back, and many of us do want that!
