From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I expect the FTC to protect our right to free speech and a free press. I do not expect you to favor any certain medium of speech or format of press. WE THE PEOPLE are deciding for ourselves through a free market of ideas how we want to receive our journalism and from whom. We don't need and I don't want you or any other government entity to teach anyone about how journalism should be done at my expense. Don't even think of taxing free speech, talk radio, christian radio or the internet media. You know that we will have less of whatever you tax, and you know that it is wrong to reduce free speech of any kind. If you insist on implementing any of these anti-freedom of speech or anti-freedom of the press policies, I will have to join with my fellow freedom-loving Citizens and elect leaders who will abolish your bureaucracy, and that means your job. I served 21 years in our Military to preserve these rights. I will not lay down now and let you steal them.
