From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am sure you are aware that at this time most of the major TV stations and newspapers are left leaning. The way those who are more conservative can get their opinion heard is through radio and FOX network - but perhaps that is what is not being well tolerated. It appears that having control of most of the TV stations and newspapers is not enough. Some conservative voices are being listened to and it seems that the left-leaning people in this country are NOT very tolerant of other opinions. Perhaps in their thinking the ends justifies the means and/or might makes right and the left is in control right now. It appears that very possibly left-wing groups pressured the government to fund media even more than we do now for PBS/NPR. Then they pressure the government to regulate conservative media they don’t like. And the Obama administration gets to pull it all together and come up with a Big Government solution that taxes all of us to support new media alternatives that are forever tied to that Big Government. It is my understanding that Hugo Chavez was amazed at what President Obama has been able to accomplish to so quickly have the government take over so many things. Please do NOT have basically another thinly veiled government take over - or at least strongly influenced arena. This is supposed to be the land of the free - NOT the land of the big government control. Please do NOT mess with the freedom of the press!
