From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose any regulations and/or taxes or fees on internet speech as well as any attempt by the FTC to impose new regulations on free speech. Furthermore there should not be any attempts to change any journalistic methods or indoctrinate any person with a particular way of thinking or reporting of news. Free speech should be just that, free speech and not be regulated by the FTC or any alternate department or division of our government. This is one of the first checks and balances put in place to protect our country by the founding fathers. Furthermore, the FTC should stop trying to implement a "fairness doctrine" which is quite repressive and does not allow "free" speech.
