The FTC should have no regulation of journalism. The government should in no way fund or control journalism, this is private enterprise. You are treading on dangerous ground to suggest taxes that provide a journalism fund that supports journalists and the media. Freedom of speech allows that all viewpoints have the right to be presented. In the free market, businesses come and go, and adapt to new technology. If they don't adapt, they fail. Journalism is not a taxpayer funded business. They are providing news. If they are struggling, it's not the taxpayers responsibility to bail them out.
