From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Our print press has to adapt. The fact that less paper is bing used and instead more internet press communication instead is part of that adaptation. I think there is still demand for print to some extent but you see magazines as well a retail catalogs going out of print with the internet becoming the preferred media. This is progress. I do not think that those newspapers that are not keeping up with tghis media revolution as well as the TV news services should be subsidized in any way and the free market system should instead dictate, along with their business sense. Both conservative and liberal news organizations have equal opportunity to present both sides of any issue and if thye are not fair and balanced then the consumers should go where they can get that but it must be up to them and not the Governments role to impede these free press and free market process. I do not support any tax programs that in effect subsidize these freedom proecesses not to penalize any participants in these freedoms.
