Has not the FTC done enough, already? Consumers will gladly pay for a product they deem desirable. A well written factual account of an incident of interest will command a fair price. Subsidized junk will exact a toll--on taxpayers, consumers and those who naively believe the FTC can assure the future of uncensured, balanced and accurate reporting. This slippery slope is not one leading to an honorable result. The separation of the government and the Fourth Estate is essential. You only have to consider the current state of NPR and PBS to forecast the result of more government intervention.
