From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I see that much time and effort has been spent developing solutions to the problem that print media is becoming obsolete. I simply fail to see why new technology replacing old technology is a problem. The real problem here is wasting resources that could be spent elsewhere solving a problem that is a non-issue. The fact that a government agency would allow publishing, even in draft form, the suggestion that we raise taxes to prop up a dying private industry stinks of socialism so badly that I question the judgment of anyone connected with this draft in any way. This entire program should be terminated immediately, and those responsible for it should be reassigned to positions in which they cannot hurt anything further.
