16 CFR Part 310 Telemarketing Sales Rule- Debt Relief Amendments
To the Federal Trade Commission: A little over a year ago my wife and I married and started planning out our future. We both had put ourselves through college and realized that we had also made some financial decisions that we wish we could take back. Combined we had more than $20k in debt. We decided that our main goal was to be debt free and not ever make the same financial decision we had made when we were younger. We immediately started to explore all the options we had that would allow us to get out of debt quicker. We thought about bankruptcy, applying for a second job, getting less expensive cars or renting a smaller apartment/home as ways to save money and get ourselves out of debt. Eventually, after many days of research and pondering over what the best option for us was, we decided on finding a good debt settlement company. In the end we found a great business called Debt Regret. My wife and I were nervous at first, because debt settlement companies seemed too good to be true, however after researching the company and checking with the Better Business Bureau we decided that we would meet with Debt Regret. We have been with Debt Regret for about a year now and have settled two of our eight accounts. We are highly satisfied with what Debt Regret has done for us and what they will accomplish for us when we are done. We are happy we made the decision to use their services. Debt Regret has a customer service employee that monitors our account and checks in on us twice a month and in the event we have any questions, are always available to help when we need them. Debt Regret offers a great service and in the end we will save lots of money, but more importantly we will be out of debt in less than 3 years and no longer have any financial struggles. My wife and I ask that you not regulate debt settlement companies like Debt Regret out of business. They provide a great service and option for getting out of debt and will allow couples like my wife and I to live debt free. Sincerely Jesse Mader
