To Whom It May Concern: MTNA only represents a small fraction of music educators/teachers. The Code of Ethics is meant to serve as a mere "guideline," membership is voluntary in the MTNA and any state level organization and is not enforced by the MTNA. So feel this investigation and forced compliance is unfounded and over-reaching since The Code of Ethics are voluntary to begin with. Healthy competition helps to drive the free market economy, not injure it. I don't feel the Code of Ethics encourages "vigorous competition" or unfair business solicitation practices but fosters professionalism that most teachers adhere to with or without enforced guidelines anyway. Total waste of resources and time. Thank you.
