MTNA has made all the relevant arguments already, and I don't want to repeat them. Since you are apparently immune to logic, I just want to express my astonishment that the FTC is doing this. A seriously stupid waste of taxpayer money. Of all the professional organizations you should pursue for restraining competition, you choose piano teachers? Seriously? As an MTNA member I have always considered this clause to be an expression of cooperative ethics, not a threat. It does nothing to restrain competition. You would be a lot more believable if you went after doctor's and lawyer's organizations. But they have too much money and power, right?
