It is quite apparent that the FTC bureaucrats have too much time on their hands. That they would even waste taxpayer's money on investigating a local chapter let alone the national organization is an classic example of misplaced zealotry. A cursory investigation of the reason behind the MTAC ethics code should reveal the propriety of it immediately, even to the casual viewer. Medical doctors do not go about taking patients away from their colleagues. Similarly, neither do teachers of music for the same reasons. That some musicians are better than others has its parallel in the medical profession as well. The choice is up to the prospective student, a choice which should belong strictly to the student. The FTC has no business here in any phase of the controversy which never should have been an issue in the first place.
