I am amazed that the FTC has spent so much time on an Organization as benevolent and non political as the MTNA. I don't doubt that the non compete clause in the MTNA charter was wrong, but a simple request for them to remove it would have been fine. This is a group of Music Teachers not lawyers. This clause had been in their charter for nearly a century. It has never been enforced, and even if it had what difference does it make weather a piano techer charges $30 or $35 an hour. By attacking an organization which is dedicated to improving music in our country, an organization with no resourses to contest your decision in a court you are doing something more akin to bullying than justice. Why don't you all just chill out and then go after someone who is actually doing harm.
