Just as it is important to know what we are putting IN our bodies, it is equally important to be well-informed about what we put ON our bodies. Companies that market their products as organic should have the same standards as the food industry. Without this regulation, consumers are not able to make well-informed decisions about what type of ingredients are in the products they buy. This makes us more vulnerable to companies that choose to deceive consumers and gree-wash their products, and less capable of being able to choose what products we deem safe and healthy for our bodies. Please enforce the same standards and regulations on cosmetic and personal care items, as you do for food.
