I find it disturbing that the FTC decided to have issue with a moral code portion for small business people such as piano teachers. We may be mostly small, home studio businesses, but those of us who belong to the MTNA have always had high standards and try to educate the public as to the difference in people with policies and people who are not as professional. The concept of "student preying, or stealing" is not professional. I would never hear a student play and try to tell them that I could teach them to play better. I will act according to strong, professional standards in spite of the FTC having issues, but I am saddened that the agency does not understand this. Standards in general go along with law abiding - paying taxes, etcetera. It's people without standards they should be concerned abo
