The FTC should consider implementing a Greenearth symbol. It is the gentlest solvent and I receive many garments that would be ruined there are lots of garments that should not be cleaned in anything else because they will be ruined. Reasonable basis should be expanded so that more materials are included. Many known problem materials such as elastic, vinyl, acetates are not included. They are on enough garments so they should be included. Care labels should not switch to symbols only. Few people understand what all of the symbols mean and having words on the label clarifies this issue for dry cleaners and consumers too
