In the Matter of Staples/Essendant, Inc., File No. 1810180
The Staples/Essendant Merger is not in the best interest of the American Public. Every merger in the past 20 years has not given the American people more choice or improved products or services. Every merger has taken away what little choice we have and left us with an unresponsive monopolistic behemoth interested in only one thing profit! Our interests is not considered at all. Monopolies are interested in controlling what little market is left to be able to charge the prices they want or to collude with others to control the market. The idea of the supposedly "free market" is a joke. This merger is a bad idea for the American consuming public and should not be given the okay to go ahead.
