these private mergers only serve to promote a privatized acquition of our democracy's power; weakening not only our ability to self rule but, destroying the mechanisms which tie it to the interdependent mandates soupporting all the precepts of the rule of law... i/e: to continually and equally, first and foremost - "promote the general welfare" - "insure the domestic tranquility" - in behalf and in promotion of a baseline equal citizenry "establish justice" - to in behalf of a continualized baseline equality underlying the concept of "we the people" rule for by and of us "form a more perfect union." these mergers constitute a transfer of power from democracy to a hybred oligarchy serving not the "we the people" but, a super minority, unbound from american laws and not necessarily even american. i repeat - these mergers serve empower a super minority over the majority, over the "we the people" to which our system of govt is dedicated and must, first and foremost, maintain as the power of our govt and system of govt without potential caste distinctions [of any kind] comparable to those we rebelled against to form our democracy two and a half centuries ago.# "capitalism is a cherished tool of democracy; democracy doesn't work the other way around" dp
