I believe the rule in question that implements the Energy Policy Act of 1992 is a great idea. The requirement of disclosure of specific information on fuel dispenser label will allow consumers to be more informed which always benefits the effectiveness of the market. Requiring businesses to disclose this information will create a more open marketplace where consumers are more informed and the number of businesses trying to deceive and manipulate consumers will decrease. Due to the importance of this rule I believe the FTC should be allowed to extend their PRA period an additional three years in order to acquire the essential amount of information to properly consider this rule and how it will affect the public. Extending this period will only allow the FTC more feedback and to create a more refined and effective rule when they enter the final rule phase.
