FTC to Hold Workshop Examining Online Event Ticket Sale - Agency Seeks Input in Advance of March 2019 Workshop; Project No. P18450
Hidden fees often times add up to as much as half the advertised ticket price. In Las Vegas at check out I've experienced a $20 ELECTRICITY fee not declared when booking. On another occasion I was charged a WATER fee at another Las Vegas hotel. Both hotels on the strip. Both fees riduculous. It's now legal to have ticket brokers buy venue tickets upfront then resell to the man on the street and very inflated prices. We are becoming "let's scam the little guy" for as much as we can. The haves have it all at the expense of those working hard for a once in awhile adventure. We are becoming a culture that takes advantage of anyone and everyone and believing that's the way it should be. We used to look out for one another. Sadly those days are becoming a distance memory!
