FTC to Hold Workshop Examining Online Event Ticket Sale - Agency Seeks Input in Advance of March 2019 Workshop; Project No. P18450
In April, is the Michael Jordan Basketball Classic in Madison Square Garden which is a major event for my son. We often buy his tickets through Ticketmaster. This time since he had extra income, he want tickets for any of the front rows seats around the area. Ticketmaster appears let scammers buy majority, if not all of the front row seats around the area. Often these scammers add fees to Ticketmaster price and resell these tickets without the use of Ticketmaster software that will let you print these tickets from online with a printer. Ticketmaster claims no fault although they let all these front row seats be brought in bulk. The scammers website often appears legit authentic with real telephone numbers but later you find that you have been scam because you are block from using Ticketmaster software. You have spend more than thousand dollars for these tickets. Now we call my credit card company with is issued by the bank, and you are claiming fraud within hours of the transaction because we cannot printout those Ticketmaster tickets. The banks claims fraud protection for their credit card. A day later the bank let the transaction go through and claim it is my responsibility to verified the website before I purchase. It is nothing they can do, when you claimed fraud even before the bank had accepted the transaction. You call this business (the scammers) and they say it is not their fault that you cannot print the tickets out. You almost know they resold those tickets again and maybe again if the consumer could not print those tickets from online. They claim they could not mail the tickets you purchase because it must be printed from online. How convenient that Ticketmaster, the scammers and the credit card company (the Bank) all benefited from our income but we did not benefit. It seem from the Lewis Powell memo (1971) the rich, business and corporations have inserted money into politics and now the rich, business, and corporations have all legal written laws and rights. We have not learned anything from history except greed.
