Hearing #1 On Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century - Sept. 13-14 at Georgetown University Law Center
Consumer protection against online payments practices and outcomes of disputes regarding unauthorized transactions should provide thorough investigation. Particularly regarding authorization of payments by non account holders who then dispute payments causing adverse reporting to consumers credit file often without warning or properly supporting consumers right to account for authorized payments on the consumers behalf: to accuse a consumer of delinquency without fair investigation and documentation to the consumer violates fair reporting and negatively impacts a consumer without any opportunity to provide documentation and validity of reversed payments.
