The intersection between privacy, big data, and competition
I am submitting a recent article I wrote for the Georgetown Law Tech Review entitled "A Policy Framework for an Open Internet Ecosystem." In the article I argue that both large online platforms and broadband Internet access providers require greater government oversight to ensure a free, open and universally accessible and affordable Internet that promotes choice, innovation, privacy, and user control. My recommendations are set out in 5 categories: 1) regulatory authority; 2) privacy; 3) competition; 4) accessibility and affordability and 5) transparency.
