The state of antitrust and consumer protection law and enforcement, and their development, since the Pitofsky hearings
I speak simply as an informed, concerned citizen. For decades we have subjected to policies and laws that ultimately have suppressed our inalienable right to all 3 of our primary constitutional tenants. Indeed, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have been directly and indirectly blocked by the topics you seek comment for, or at the very least current policy prevents us from informing ourselves as citizens so me can conclude to the contrary. Our food, medicine, entertainment, communications, etc... have all in some way been found to be harmful to us, but those responsible for the harm escape justice repeatedly under the protection of complex agreements, back room deals, and corruption throughout our local, state, and federal governments, and most importantly, through the powerful media conglomerates that filter all content to suit the needs of the corporation. My request is simple: Assume this phenomenon is by design, examine the entirety of items a-e, don't overlook historical context and design, find influential decisions which may have led to our current state of affairs, and if and when you find them, determine how to proceed moving forward without them, so you can ensure the basic rights of American citizens are not infringed upon again. Our system has the potential to facilitate economic prosperity for ALL American citizens. Frankly, this should not be that complicated, but the responsibility to fix it is yours, regardless. Make sure you are serving the people. Thank you for your time.
