The Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society (CAPS) is a student-run organization dedicated to the promotion of consumer law and consumer protection at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. The Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society submits this comment in response to the Commissions upcoming "Hearings on Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century." Specifically, we submit this comment in response to Topic #1, or FTC Public Comment #755, regarding the state of consumer protection law enforcement and its development since the Pitofsky hearings.
