To whom it may concern, Appraisal independence with unbiased watchmen is imperative to maintaining our country's real estate industry's from another recession and global economic crash from 2008. I am extremely alarmed with the aggregation of companies being acquired by CoreLogic and the potential adverse impact on the valuation industry by a company that has total vertical integration of the valuation segment of the market, and the negative effects this merger could have on Appraisal Independence. CoreLogic controls over half of the Realtor's Multiple Listing Service systems in the USA, owns one of the largest title companies in the USA, has acquired companies such as Marshall and Swift Cost Service, Narrative One Commercial Report Writer and owns one of the largest Appraisal Management Companies in the USA with a large number of Staff Appraisers. The proposed acquisition of Alamode, the largest Residential Appraisal Report software provider ("Narrative One" and "Total" by Alamode) would be bringing a cloud based privately sourced data system that is being used to verify sales to a company that aggregates and resells that data. As CoreLogic has an Appraisal Company with a large staff of appraisers, controls a significant amount of the real estate data generated in the USA and is now attempting to acquire appraisal software that has confidential appraisal reports and data, the potential to adversely influence, alter and potentially monopolize the real estate market is definitely not in the public interest. The monopoly of CoreLogic should be prohibited from both providing valuations and controlling significant portions of the real estate data with unlimited access to confidential appraisal data that is being developed by independent commercial and residential appraisers that use Alamode products such as "Narrative One" and "Total" by Alamode.
