I am currently seeing the negative affects of Core Logic and other companies in my daily appraisal business by having to bid on appraisals and companies from outside my area winning the bids to do the appraisal and they little to no knowledge of the market they are working within. I see companies such as Core Logic placing such restraints on our businesses that most of us will be out of a job before long and no new people will want to enter the appraisal business do to larger companies squeezing us out. Most of the time when I complete and appraisal and a lender does not like the comparable sales I use they ask me to expand my area to use other comparables they find on Zillow or other similar companies. These companies have no idea of my market nor if the information printed in such companies as Zillow are accurate or not causing me to use valuable time chasing closed sales that either do not exist, have no similarities to my subject or are very inaccurate with the information provided in Zillow or similar companies. The only way to protect the public with correct appraisals is by using appraisers that are familiar with the markets they work in and not by come company or appraisers located many miles away and primarily in other states. The banking business and federal government is getting ready to get us and themselves in a deeper problem in the near future than they were in 8+ years ago. It is time for the US banking industry and the federal government to step up to the plate and protect the integrity of the appraisal industry and the people that own homes and business or want to buy a new home or open a new business and stop playing up to the money people of this country because it was and still is the little or average Joe that made this country what it is today and will continue to make this country great in the future. As our representatives, remember your are elected by the little or working people of this country and it is time for you to pay us back for our dedication to you, the elected official and stop playing up to the upper class. Thanks for your time and I hope you as our elected officials remember it was the little people that put in office and it is the little people that can and will vote you out. Thanks for your time James L. Berry
