In the Matter of CoreLogic, Inc., a corporation, File No. 131 0199
Hi : It has been brought to my attention that Core Logic is purchasing A La Mode the software that I've been using for about 30 years. Core Logic owns Marshall and Swift Residential Cost Handbook, Narrative One Commercial Software, owns the Multiple Listing Service of nearly 50% in the country and I now find out - is planning to run things from both sides of the aisle now. Doesn't that seem strange to you? I think it does. As a matter of fact it seems like Core Logic is trying to monopolize the appraisal profession to the hurt of professional appraisers by purchasing every company they need to handle real estate appraisals! Are we going to allow the valuations of homes and commercial properties by an entity that doesn't understand the appraisal profession or how it works? I would sincerely ask yourself these questions and more and then decide on whether Core Logic should be allowed to continue their buying up of appraisal software companies. I would say NO to the congregation of appraisal companies and their software on both sides of the aisle and I hope you agree. Sincerely; Ed Connor 29 year Residential Appraiser with grave concerns about Core Logic.
