In the Matter of CoreLogic, Inc., Docket No. C--4458'' CoreLogic has already demonstrated they did not fulfil their agreement on the purchase of DataQuick to maintain competition in the market. Corelogic Real Estate data and Appraisal data holding include: Realist Tax, floodcert.com, Mercury Network, REALAVM, Marshall & Swift, FNC, FNC/AppraisalPort, FNC Collateral DNA, Columbia Institute, Case-Shiller, RELS, LSAM, EQECAT, DataQuick, Appraisal Scope, Matrix MLS, Data Courier, LandSafe, and now A la Mode software (used by 10s of thousands of Appraisers) In addition, they own much of the MLS data and will be able to go toe to toe with FNMA's Collateral Underwriter system. As this extensive list demonstrates, Corelogic is now in control of many of the resources that Real Property Appraisers must use and rely upon in order to complete reports for FNMA / FHMC / FHA / VA / USDA and all Secondary Market Lending clients. As this past behavior noted in this Action demonstrates, what is to stop Corelogic from "gaming the data" in favor of any client willing to pay? This is a large step toward another "too big to fail" crisis that Consumers will be faced with, in addition to the next Housing crash that will ultimately follow due to flawed data controlled by one large Corporation.
