In my opinion, Corelogic has formed a monopoly which controls Real Estate Appraisers ability to make a living. By their recent purchase of Alamode/Win Total appraiser software, pricing has escalated 3x's what was originally paid by appraisers. They also own, to the best of my knowledge, FNC, a platform for delivery of the appraisal, as well as Mercury Network. Originally, the service was free. Now it is $15-$25 to deliver each appraisal. Corelogic, as an appraisal management company is in violation of Dodd Frank, as it does not pay usual and customary fees, but are attempting to force appraisers to do business with them as they buy up more companies as well as MLS systems. They also own Realquest, which supplies data. They are also providing the VA with a review/Quality control, allowing them not only access to but possibly data mining of our appraisal reports. And, they possibly own First American, which owns another appraisal software company, ACI. I would like you to investigate them and report your findings. Thank you.
