FTC 16 CFR Part 315 Public Workshop Examining Contact Lens Marketplace And Analyzing Proposed Changes To The Contact Lens Rule
I oppose the proposed change to the Contact Lens Rule requiring a written acknowledgement of prescription release. There has been an incredibly minuscule number of complaints to the exact percentage of 0.00017763% . It's unethical to make small businesses and doctors add additional time to documentation; time that can be spent to better serve the patients. I believe the FTC should increase enforcement efforts on unscrupulous lens sellers who are selling in grocery stores, at flea markets and any various venues. These sellers are putting the American people's eyesight at risk particularly our young people, America's future. These sellers are the ones violating the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act and Contact Lens Rule.
