FTC 16 CFR Part 315 Public Workshop Examining Contact Lens Marketplace And Analyzing Proposed Changes To The Contact Lens Rule
this new rule is an absurd idea. You are attempting to add new burdens to a process that needs to be simpler. Instead the idea of asking a patient to sign for their Rx is an awful waste of time and a burden to the provider. It seems energy needs to be placed on having certainty that valid Rx are filled and less people go online a buy anything they want with no Rx at all. This new proposal should be abandoned as a useless waste of time. Illegal sales of contact lenses occur every day without any oversight to prevent this. Contact lenses can be dangerous if not properly fit and patient is not properly trained on cafe use of them.
