Request For Research Presentations For the PrivacyCon Conference
A community college intern with a class of marketing students has reviewed a variety of privacy tools. First, they wanted to learn if students even felt their privacy was an issue. Questions were discussed in focus group format and surveys concerning their knowledge of safety issues on their personal devices and as consumers of products in retail environments. Next, the students were tested on their knowledge on a variety of tools that can be used to enable them to choose levels of safety on their personal devices when shopping and when using communication tools. Finally, they were asked again the initial questions about how safe they felt. Focus group discussions were fascinating and the surveys went through a few changes based on needs analysis for both demographic and psychographic questions.
