Veterinary medicine has reached the point of unaffordability for average Americans. Thee is no reason why institutional, corporate, or expensive veterinary medicine that delivers more capability has to replace smaller, economy minded owner operated practices that can deliver cheaper if less extensive care. Veterinary medicine doesn't have to be perfect to be useful to average pet owners. It has to be helpful and it has to be affordable for middle class Americans. Saving pet lives is admirable; helping pet owners is essential.
