To whom it may concern : This a brief note in opposition to the proposed FTC ruling since I'm away traveling in a Remote part of India. This current ruling is not in the interest of patient care. Given the time constraints to exam patients, offer a thorough exam, addressing disease, asking to sign an additional form on top of the Forms currently needed it would only take time away from their exam. As a small business owner, we have many forms that need to be signed such as Hipaa, insurance forms, non -covered services, warranty forms for frames and lenses, office procedural forms etc....to name a few. All the paperwork and forms deter from patient care and having been to various health-care providers, no other specialty requires signing a form that ANY Rx has been received ; whether sold by them like dermatology or in a pharmacy. Please do not pass this ruling in the interest of patient care. Sincerely Arti
