16 CFR Part 315; Agency Information Collection Activities: Review; Comment Request; Contact Lens Rule: FTC Project No. R511995
I oppose this amendment. First, I don't see the purpose of this change in the law. I see no benefit to the patients who wear contact lenses as a corrective vision option. Is there another way to make sure patients are healthy with their contact lens use without any abusive habits or regulation put on by others? I would say yes. The frequency of care makes all the difference with patient compliance which greatly adds to patient comfort and satisfaction with their contact lenses. If any changes need to be made is that the Standard of Care in Utah needs to be the same as most of the rest of the nation at an annual examination. I thank each of you for being willing to delve deeper into the law to determine the best care for our patients and I appreciate the time you take to do your due diligence.
