Cars with unrepaired safety defects CANNOT be called safe by any definition known to man. The possibility that an air bag might explode sending shrapnel everywhere at supersonic speeds isn't safe; brakes that fail at 65 mph aren't safe when they cause a 5 car pile up on the interstate; steering that locks up letting cars go god knows where isn't safe; engines that catch fire because the fuel injectors blow too much gas into the cylinders aren't safe; and those are just a few of my favorite defects that aren't safe. Would you want your wife, son daughter, sister, mother or father to buy one of those 'certified safe' cars from Car Max? Or would you stay as far away from those dealers as you could and buy from the ones that did repair the defects before they sold they're used cars? I know the answer already - hypocrites that you all are.
