Seminar Addressing Drones
This technology, like many others, is being rushed into the marketplace well before the resultant outcomes can be approximated. And that will surely lead to unintended consequences detrimental to the public. A better approach is to utilize the precautionary principle to protect against harm, both physical and legal. Already, bystanders have been injured by falling drones or their whirling blades, privacies have been violated, and terrifying overflights observing young children have occurred. Better to introduce the technology slowly and guardedly, monitoring and regulating more limited usage until further outcomes are observed and adjusted for.
