I very much agree with the need for social influencers need to disclose all payments for review and or giving beneficial coverage for these companies. The one item that I do have issue with is the demanding of the companies to preform the quality control on the influencers, as this should be done by the influencers in question, the reason for this is that if the companies are made to have to do the QA on following the guidelines it will limit the amount of work for influencers as the companies will limit the output to the smaller influencers because of the cost to make sure that these independent contractors are following the guidelines. Thus the individual influencers should be the ones that will be fined for not following the rule. A further way to impliment the rule in a way to help with the QA is to have the IP owners to post a page of all the influencers they use somewhere on their own webpages, in order for the customer to be able to check if an influencer has failed to disclose their payments from the IP owners.
