FTC Requests Public Comment on ProMedica Health System's Application to Approve Divestiture of former Rival St. Luke's Hospital
I am a solo practitioner specializing in Infectious Diseases. I have been performing consultations at St. Lukes Hospitals since 1995. St. Lukes Hospital abides by the motto "patients first always" to provide excellent patient care. The hospital fosters a great working environment. The administration has always worked well with the medical staff and there has never been a hidden political agenda. The medical staff has diverse specialties represented to provide comprehensive care to complicated patients. The medical staff communicates well with each other to co-ordinate care. The nursing staff goes the extra mile to provide excellent medical care and support for the patients and their families. There are many stories of the extraordinary efforts and the nurses receive are awards for their efforts. St. Lukes Hospital has survived many changes over the years since the days on Robinwood. There were beneftis reaped with the association with Promedica. Costly items such as computer programs for health information were updated. Sharing of policies and procedures helped to consolidate programs and prevent re-inventing the wheel so to speak.Cost savings was realized with shared purchasing of items such as medications. With the divestiture looming, it is an exciting time to see what the next chapter brings for St. Lukes Hospital.
