Jewelry Guides, 16 CFR Part 23, Project No. G711001 I have been in the jewelry industry for over 49 years. I studied diamond grading from the Gemological Institute of America in 1969. The changes requested by Martin Rapaport are not only necessary but imperative. I keep gemological instruments in my store to insure our grading standards are in continuous step with the GIA. I have been involved with too many consumers being defrauded. It is rampant in our industry and must be stopped. It is a scourge on the reputation of ever legitimate retailer and wholesaler of diamonds. I would be pleased to be interviewed by the FTC to see the changes suggested be addressed and made law.
