I am a Realtor in Santa Fe, New Mexico and chauffeuring clients to properties over northern New Mexico puts a lot of miles on my vehicle. One of the areas I specialize in is Green Homes - that is homes that are energy efficient. I want to purchase a Tesla for a variety of reasons, but cannot because no Tesla dealerships or even service centers are allowed to open in New Mexico due to current laws. My business simply cannot operate without a vehicle and convenient servicing in either Albuquerque or Santa Fe. This lack effectively means I cannot buy the vehicle I want. To me, this system is totally unfair and a restraint of trade. I know the NADA looks out for its members and can influence legislation. Who is looking out for the consumer in this case? Thanks.
