Banning Tesla or any other business from selling directly to customers for any reason is un-american. Our country is supposed to be proud of its free market system, yet antiquated laws that protect dealers, not customers, and vigorous lobbying by manufacturers who can't compete are trying to stifle this free market. That this can happen in the United States only proves how our government doesn't care about individuals as much as they pander to lobbyists and special interests. As a consumer and an American, I should be allowed to purchase directly from the manufacturer should I choose to. The FTC has a duty to abolish these antiquated rules that do nothing in todays market but stifle TRADE.
